The 19th annual Turkey Burn was held in San Juan Capistrano this year due to the recent fires in the Cleveland National Forest and Ortega Hwy road construction.
The event dubbed the 5 Peaks ride had a scavengers hunt feel and riders had to visit 5 peaks and find the items left on each hilltop before moving on the the next hill.
Harry Boessler and George Dawley were back first in 2 hours and 31 minutes.
Then Louis Scott, Doug (Slugo), Cyco Dave Claver, and Tom Taylor came in an hour later at 3:31.
The rest of the riders came in as late as 4 hours and 56 minutes. (Burton)

Meet at O'Neill Park at 7:00 am
We will have a campsite in the back of the park (nearest to Trabuco Canyon Road)
Come and share this 20th annual event with us as we ride the Santa Ana Mountains after all the feasting we did the day before.
We will do it simple this year and offer shuttle to Maple Springs gate for those who want to ride over the peak.
B Group will pedel out Trabuco Canyon for a ride up to the ridge and back down returning to the campsite.
